Great day at the lake....right up to the point I blew the drive to HELL http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif Can't complain too much 72 hours behind 900 hp.
Hopefully I'll have a new one in a couple of weeks...maybe even a new boat http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

We have a Mustang race this coming weekend, so the lake's out. I start a refueling outage the next weekend http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif Sun & Mon off for a month. We are planning on running up to Havazoo the 17th of April. Conned my way into a couple of extra days off. Friday the 16th we're going to see Kid Rock, then head for the Zoo Saturday morning.

At risk of seeming a homebody to Lake Mead, where the heck is Lake Pleasant. Looks substantial enough to handle larger boats and be hotboat friendly. Always looking for a great place to take a trip.

just in case you guys don't see it on the other thread, where is moabi that everyone keeps talkin' 'bout? i've read a little about it and but don't have a clue on where it's at. havasu is about 2 to 3 hours from vegas. is moabi closer?

Yeah, Moabi is about 1/2 closer I'd guess. Just before you get to the AZ/CA border on I-40 there's a turn-of to Moabi. You save the 10 minutes or so getting to the I-40/95 junction and the 20-25 minutes to get into LHC proper from there. Moabi by water is a few miles north of Topock.

To Much Fun, Pleasant is on the NW side of Phoenix. It's not a bad lake, but I don't know if I'd suggest someone tow 3-5 hours to boat here unless they were coming for other stuff as well. There are several hotels within about 25 minutes of the lake and a lot of restaraunts too. We do get some good floats going in the Humbug Cove. Lakes really nice for haulin' butt on the weekdays. Weekends it stays pretty choppy.

By way of the water:

Moabi is on the left side, just past the I40 bridge as your travelling North on the river. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif They have a great stretch of beach along a channel that takes you into their ramp area. Has been a pretty cool place to hang out. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
