i'm tryin' like hell to get my boat ready for this weekend. it will be the first time in a LONG time that my boat will actually be in the water. we are leaning towards sunday since i will most likely work on saturday until about noon. i'm going to try to borrow a friends radios (the FRS kind). i've never used one of these types of radios but what channel do most of you use when you're on the lake? if anyone is going to be out on sunday where's the hook-up spot and how do you get there from calville? man i ask a bunch of questions on this board http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/insane.gif so if you see someone with a couple of cameras around their neck and using a video camera that'll be me since i'm new to the lake. you know, gotta play tourist!

Rude, we'll be Saturday and camp over till Sunday. If you know what time you will be at Callville I will try to meet you at the dock.

LM1, is that channel 9-0? or a do you use a different sub channel?

We plan on going on Saturday also, but we won't be on the water until around noon. Jen has a few clients in the morning and I have a 9:00 meeting. I'm also bringing a friend with a party cat- He's Chad- you'll like him. We'll probably head up to Hallett beach, is that where you guys will be?

Hey D4$, 9 on vhf, 9-0 on the motorolas. We'll be on the lake by 9. Cruise around and then head to Hallet, Sandy later in the afternoon.

BBum, can I get a ride in that rocket? We'll plan on seeing you at Hallet around 1 or so then.

as much as i would love to be out there on saturday it's really not going to be possible. so where is hallet beach, that seems to be the hot spot. i looked on the map of lake mead and didn't see it on there. if i put in at callville, where do i go from there. D4$, as much as i'd love to tell you what time to meet us i'm not really sure what time we'll be out there. it will be early though so we can beat the rush. that way if we look like two monkey's F#*@ing a football there won't be as many eye witnesses. i'm borrowing a bellsouth radio. will that work with the radios the rest of you are using? it has channels 1 through 14. D4$, if you get the chance you can email me a pic of your boat so i know what to look for (jdirig4703@aol.com).

Rude, Hallet is on the left just after you turn up the overton arm. I have a maroon and white crownline. Call me Sun morn 497-1811, the phone works at hallet usually.

Hey Rude, we hooked up with Beach Bum and D4$ today at mead. D4$ is camping out, lucky guy. We had a blast.

to answer your question, launch at Callville, go through the narrows and left around the bend. Hallet beach is on the left hand side.

LV, sorry we missed you. i was going to check the message board before we left but i forgot. if you ever see me out there don't hesitate to flag me down, i'm still tryin' to figure out who drives what kind of boats and what they look like. i shouldn't be to hard to pick out, i think i've got one of the smallest boats out there. the only place i know how to get to now is hallet beach so it's a pretty safe bet that's where i'll be. we did eventually make it out there (probably around 11:00 or so) and hook up with D4$ and a couple of his friends. great people! i'm going to try and get out there this saturday but it won't be until a little later because i'll be workin' until noon. Rude i think i passed you right by Hallet i was headed back towards Sandy. Sorry you missed me we had some colds ones too. Glad to see you got out there though what did you think of the lake?

LV, come to think of it you may have passed me twice. once by hallet and another time in the narrows. were you running around with a 25ft nordic with green and blue stripes? kim (my wife) is almost positive she saw you because she commented about your boat (she has a thing for flame paint jobs). running on the lake is a whole new ball game for me! i'm used to the river in southern AZ. the scenery out there is unreal! D4$ and his friend Arney (hope that's spelled right) took us to this little canyon about 4 miles north of hallet that was AWESOME! i think i'm really goin' to like runnin' out there (as long as i can find all the places to get fuel!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif. i love the clear water. i'm used to water so murky you can't see your feet even in ankle deep water.

Rude, that canyon, did it have a no wake bouy? If it did, did it go back and then around to the right? If so, that's Cathedral Cove. REALLY cool looking. I've been into it, but stopped at the first corner as some people were floating on rafts.

THAT'S THE ONE!! i couldn't remember the name of that place to save my life. we got there relatively early and shortly after we got there, quite a few other boats showed up. it must be a pretty popular place to hang out.

It was Cathedral Canyon. It's better when the water is high cuz you can back in farther buts it's still a fun place to raft up.

LV, email your pic to calirider. he'll attach somehow, that's what i did. and if you saw D4$ and the baja, i was somewhere near by. they were hangin' around to make sure i made it back to calville 'cause i was runnin' on fumes! we're plannin' on bein' out this saturday if you're going to be around.
