I'm actually hosting the video download for him on my server. All you need is a video camera with USB or firewire output, to go to any newer computer in AVI or MPG format, then a place to host the file for download.

This past weekend at Cottonwood my girlfriend and I were on our way to Willow when I got passed (big time) by a 29' Force who had to be pushing a hundee http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif So my girlfriend leans over and says "Baby, we need to get you a boat like THAT!" My pride went right over the bowrail............... but at least I have the OK to upgrade! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I love watching boats like these hauling ass.

Calirider informed me that we can use ANY type of video camera, it doesn't have to be digital. Just send it to him, he will copy it and send the tape right back. He can compress it and transfer it to the right type of file to put on the site. He suggested that we video a lot footage so we can have a new (longer, with motion) promo video, and make a "LVHB 1st Annual Regatta" tape for all of the members to have. I think it sounds awesome!!!! Only problem is I'm minus a video camera right now. Anyone else got 'em?

I appreciate the offer DB, no dice though, company this weekend.

On a brighter note, AG from Brainlabor will most likely be coming out on 8/3 and shooting some video. I'm sure he'll probably rework the promo video too!

On the flip side of that is we're just going to be making it a day trip because he'll have his equipment with him and it's sounding difficult to pull together the camping stuff. Nonetheless we may just come back down sunday, who knows.

we've got a video camera also and i do plan on taking a good bit of footage. i'll make sure i stock up on tapes before the 3rd. but i've already been warned by the allied fleet commander (my wife) that she does not intend to watch the entire weekend through the view finder of the video camera! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
