I never thought I'd miss you guys so much. Last day and a half without LVHB, and I was starting to lose it.

And since we all have been gone I have tuned up the boat and am about to pull it out of the garage and fire it up. Red N Vegas fired his up on like the 3rd crank of the engine. More to follow!!!!!!!!!!

Well I got out the boat and fired it off. The neighbors had to come out and see what all the noise was. I love the sound of a big block. She is running pretty good. My tune up consisted of new plugs, new plug wires, new cap and rotor, new ignition module and new condenser. Still have to change fuel filters. I run 3. I also got some octane boost at a hell of a deal. At Checker Auto parts they had the quart size of The Outlaw Octane Boost. Usually 17 bucks a pop. Had it on clearance for 63 cents. I bought all 11 cans. The guy at the counter said that in this neigborhood, (not mine, across town) these people dont know what this stuff does, so it does not sell. Cool by me. I will get it then. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

My boat saw sunlight today for the first time since October! Had a hell of a time figuring out why it wouldn't start at first.

It would crank (plenty of battery juice), then back fire and not turn over. I called my buddy on the phone and he went over the plug wire configuration with me. I had changed plugs/cap/& rotor this winter and thought maybe I put the wires back on the cap in the wrong order. I chased each wire to and from the distributor and plugs and had everything right. Still wouldn't start. Then, I took off the distributor cap and took the rotor off. I put the rotor back on, put a little pressure on it while I turned it, then suddenly, it found a notch and fell further down the shaft about 1/8 of an inch. Walla!! What a dumbass I am! It cranked right up, and like Redhorse, got to bug the shit out of my neighbors with all the racket!! Backed her in the garage and did a full detail with the new wax I bought at the boat show. Awesome stuff made by "Driven to Performance." Best wax I have ever used on the vehicles and boat, I've tried just about everything! Steam cleaned the carpets and scrubbed the upholstery.

Other than 2 new trailer tires I'm getting tomorrow, we're all ready to go!! March 25-28, Laughlin!! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
