Just curious what people have! I want to install one soon (my previous system was ruined but it was pretty standard), but am confused on what to get: waterproof or not, are smaller subs (10's) better than large subs (15's), etc. I have a 22' Schiada Open Bow, but it sits pretty low and on the lake we can take a pounding sometimes (rough and wet) so I wouldn't want to ruin my stuff. I have a Clarion (1000?) watt amp and two Fosgate 15's so far...

Dude, what more do you need with that much power and punch? Are you talking about components like mids and highs? I wish I could help you out, but i'm not sure how you would set up a boat. Maybe someone with a sweet set-up has some tips for you. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

I figured you may not be able to help D'. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif I mainly want advise like you mentioned on mids and highs etc. and if what I currently have is good. It will blow the windows out of my truck, but how would it be in a boat? What else do I need for clear, hard hitting sound?

all I know (from the truck club days and a bit of boating) is you have to be really selective with where you put the subs. I don't know for you, but I would put mine under the rear bench, but the thing is I would enclose them separately. Subs have to have a certain amount of airspace in their box to get the most thump out of them. I think alot of people just throw them in the boat anywhere and they don't sound good.
I don't have the fundage ($http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif right now, but when I do, I'm havin' it done up right for sure! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
