When I get back I am considering doing some interior work on the boat. Do any of yall have any experience with someone in Vegas??

Sew What does reasonably good work, but they are always backed up and are pretty pricey.

I use Custom Canvas and Awnings down on lake mead drive ... they do great work, use premium materals, and are reasonably priced, but I do not know how much they do beyond canvas covers, bimini tops, and some upholstery work (e.g., making the actual structural setup for seats and etc.).

I would call on Custom Canvas first (564-1098, 719 E. Lake Mead Drive), they are a good bunch and honest, and then rely on their recommendation for local folks beyond what they can do and based on your needs. It's a family business with the son now running it and involved since he was a little kid.

Had mine done here in so. ca. this spring. Stratton marine, they did a bad ass job and were VERY reasonable. $2,300 and they built new front seat bases and the rear bench, I did the new rear hatch, and carpet. I know its a bit of a drive but like I said I was very pleased.

Bring it by my house and we can build the bases ourselves. I built the the seats and engine cover myself on my old boat and had a guy do the upholstry here in town. I will give you the number when you get back.

I was thinking about doing that. I just dont have any experience with things like that. I can follow prints but dont know what needs to be done as far as bend allowances of material and clearances for foam and the like. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif I might have to take you up on that.

They use 2" foam on the seats and usually 1" foam on the hatch. I have shit loads of plywood. You do not neccessarly need to use marine grade plywood if you treat it real well with a good water proofer and then cover it with resin. The good thing about building the bases yourself is you can do alot of trial and error with no change orders. The upholstry guy I know here does all the repair work for Nevada Boats (Distributor of Tige Boats) and does sweet work. You could have him do one seat first to verify you like his work. He did my front seats, back bench, engine hatch and side panels for like $2200 including all of the material.

MP - $2200 seems expensive for only upholstery....I had my old boat done for $3500. That included new resin on the floor, all new wood, upholstery, foam and carpet....AND mine was an open bow. This is what it looked like 3 years after it was done.
