Rented ou the 55' bay for the winter, so I had to organize and straighten, thus I added a loft to get everything off of the floor.

Pretty cool that you can rent out your storage unit and still keep your stuff in it.

KC, what does a bay go for that is at leat 35' deep?

The doors are 12' wide and 18' tall, the bay is 13' wide. Lights on a timer, 20 amp electrical, commercial grade door openers. 24x7 access through a gate, random drive through security, video survelence, air conditioned restrooms with showers,

This bay is the 55'... now with a 4' deep loft to hold some of the toys and clutter. The lot is free standing and made from 1" conduit and corners from canopymasters.com. Starting is Februaury Leo and I will keep the Nordic and the Essex in this bay. It is so nice to not have to tow.

40' is $154
45' and 50' is $178
55' is $198

I'm still way more affordable than others.

I may be interested in a 40' next year. Is this something you always have available, or is there a wait?

I've always wondered why the "snowbirds" have these big RV's that they drive from Montana or Idaho or wherever to LHC to park then either next to their winter home (or rental) on in storage. Doesn't seem to make sense to me to have a home, a winter home and a home on wheels to get between the two other homes. Why no fly? Seems a lot easier. I guess they're trying to pack all of the experiences possible into the final years maybe? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Flying into Havasu is not that easy. Granted when retired it really does not matter when you leave or arrive.

I've talked to a few in my neighborhood and it seemed that the cost of living was soooooo low in Idaho or Montana that they could own the LHC house the Idaho house AND the motorhome for the cost of a house in So Cal.

You're right, 150K for a house in Montana, 150K for a house in LHC, and 100K for a killer coach. 400k would get you a condo or townhome in a decent neighborhood down here, on top of being about 1300 s.f.
