Hey guys, just thought I'd start the buddy network here. I work for a local diesel pickup performance shop. If you have a 94+ Powerstroke, 88+ Dodge Cummins, Chevy Duramax or motorhome with Cummins power, I'll hook you up on power upgrades. That's what we do. You can see our website at: Diesel Dynamics (http://www.dieseldynamics.com)
Just make sure to identify yourself to me! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I am an Amsoil Synthetic Lubricants dealer. They make synthetic lubricants for virtually any application. They also have air filters, oil filters, fuel filters and Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs along with Bosch plug wires. You can get more info at www.lubedealer.com/extremelubricants
I also work for Nellis Building Materials a company that deals mainly with pool material and stucco material.

Keith, what do you think about the Chevy Duramax? I am looking at a HD with that engine for my next truck. I have always been a Chevy guy, and I think that truck looks great. How does the engine & trans hold up?
Thanks,
Bill

Anyone like frozen yogurt? I am buying/building Golden Spoon frozen yogurt locations in the Orange County and LA County areas. Only have 1 location so far (as of Thursday last week) but plan on having a total of 6 - 8 locations. Don't laugh, it sounds funny "frozen yogurt" , but I'm laughing all the way to the BANK!!
If you're in Laguna Beach, let me know who you are. It's not performance parts, but it tastes really good! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Bill, stock for stock they currently make the most power. That is all supposed to change this year though with the '03s. Both Dodge and Ford are supposedly releasing bigger HP units to compete. The Dmax is quiet and has upgrades available. Nice trans too. We never had a problem with ours, but I have heard some stories. The thing I don't like about them is it's a new product...and you know how that goes.

I heard the engine is from Nissan and has been around forever.

Isuzu actually. The design is similar to some of their other stuff, but not the aluminum heads. That's new.

Thanks for the info. I agree with you on the new product thing. It will be next November when this lease is up anyway so by then we will have to see how it is doing.

Keith,
We have a 7.3 psd in our Excursion and love it, but of course I want more horsepower. Any recommendations on upgrades for it? exhaust? chip? air filter?
We used it for towing our boat mainly, until the boat was stolen over Memorial day this year. We hope to meet everyone as soon as we decide on a replacement boat........
later.....

Hey BRP, yeah, we sell a box called the True Torque Box. 50hp/100ft-lbs of torque. 30 second plug in. Won't void any warranty. Call me and we can talk. 897-6263.

BRP, What kind of boats are you considering?
BRP,
I was thinking of a diesel Excursion. Are they worth the money. I roll to Havi with a buddy that has a power stroke and he kicks my a$$ up and down. My expedition is a pig. Granted, I have a 24' boat, but it shouldn't be that bad. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/insane.gif

We are looking at a 26 or 28 ft. sleekcraft enforcer or something similar. The wife wants a deck boat so we'll see who wins out..........

Thor,
We love the excursion with the 7.3. It is amazing the torque that it has. We get about 16 -17 mpg around town (vegas) and out on the open road. Probably the only complaint I have is that I didn't put 8' doors on my garage so I could park the damn thing in the garage and that my wife drives it daily instead of me. We got in on the 0% down, $8,000 off, and 0.9% financing for 60 months last October, so we couldn't pass it up.
