Hey HD, are you going to the OP6 thing this weekend in Parker? I'm trying but the people I had lined up to go with me and split costs backed out. I'm looking for new people now. I have one couple that's considering it...supposed to let me know tomorrow.

I'd hate to miss it, but there's the hotel room for 2 nights, gas for the boat, gas for up and back, and I have to rent a truck (my little car just won't pull it that far and live). Ugh!

I plan on being down there on Friday and Saturday night. I'll be in Havasu for the Essex regatta for the majority of the weekend.

Dave, you going to the regatta?

Keith, what do you tow your boat with? I saw a boat that looked like yours this afternoon by my work at Valley View & Russell around 5. was that your ride?

Bill, yeah, that must have been me. I work at Valley View and Post, south of Russell. I'm forced to pull it around with my '87 Buick Lesabre. Does OK when it's not hot. Not so good when it is.

Keith,
You are lucky that it does not get that hot in LV. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

It was blazing out on the lake last saturday. Did you see that 25' Eliminator Daytona, blown with blue checkers and blue and yellow on the sponsons? That boat has been in HB several times and reported to reach the 130-140 mph range. I totally believe it because he did a hot lap right by Hallet beach and he was easile going 100-110 before he had to slow down.
Very serious speed. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/insane.gif

No, I didn't see it unfortunately. If it was in the morning, I probably would have tried to race him (before it got rough out there).

Funny that the Cauville side of the Narrows was much rougher in the afternoon than the otherside.

BTW, where is Hallet Beach?

Keith,
Hallet beach is the beach we were all on last month. That is were all the big boys hang out now, I guess.

FYI,
A buddy of mine has a 100+ mph daytona and he wouldn't even get out there with him. Save your fuel against that guy with the white and blue daytona, he is scarry fast. Rumor has it, that boat went 142 mph on the GPS for the HB testing. Unreal!

Ok, so where we were was Hallet. Â*I was there at 9:30 until around 11: 00, then we went up to Echo Bay Marina for Lunch. Â*When we were leaving, the first other boat was showing up. Â*I saw a few boats on our way back to Cauville at about 12:30, but I didn't see/recognize yours or I would have stopped.

We swung back through at around 4pm just before going to the trailer...either you weren't there or I missed you AGAIN. Â*I must be blind or something.

Hmmm, maybe we need an official, unofficial club luncheon at the Terribles at Russell and 15 sometime. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

HD, we won't be able to make this year. I will be here in Denver for a couple more weeks and the Shannon pregnant equation puts a hammer to any boating plans this year (sorry babe!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif.
