Anyone know how much oil a stock 502 holds when you change your oil? I don't have the manual...the old owner didn't turn it in when he traded it. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/glare.gif

Hell, I have someone do it for me...wouldn't want to be called a "hot boater" by doing my own work. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Make sure the level is good on the dip stick and then drain it into a container with a known capacity. Add a quart for the filter. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Well...here is what Mercruiser says:
Mr. McDonald,
Thank you for your inquiry. That engine will take approximately 7
quarts of oil with the filter. We always recommend to use the dipstick to
determine the exact amount of oil needed as this measurement is only an
approximate. We hope this has been of some assistance. Thank you and have a
great day.
