I got a ride in this sunday at the sandbar. It was the smoothest speed run I've ever had.

Yeah, I walked around that thing. It's just freakin' HUGE. Looks like 13/10's scale. Like it should have some 500#, 9' guy driving it. How fast is it?

Not to be a dick, but what does a person do that can afford a 44 ft cat with A/C and a 35" tv?

I saw this boat and walked through it myself on Saturday. Yes it is amazing. I heard from a gentleman down at Havasu Springs that this boat was comissioned by a friend of his. He said the boat was headed for Lake Powell. He said that when the boat was at Magic they wouldn't let anyone within ten feet of the thing. At the channel and the sandbar however they seemed to be having open house? I was very impressed at what they pulled off but at the same time was a little concerned for the chap that payed the big bucks on this thing. I wonder if he realizes that everyone and their brother made it through that thing in two days? This guy in Havasu springs was a little shocked about the whole thing. I guess the guy that commissioned this boat was so concerned about having a one of a kind that he paid to have the molds destroyed. I heard a number of aroung 600k to fabricate and destroy the molds. This guy must have a million into this. For that kind of money I wouldn't want anyone stepping foot on it. At least not until I took possession. And even then it better be nothing but Hooooooooooooooooties crawling all over it.

Willy, Matt's parents own Magic/SleekCraft, Your right on that it was in the middle of going up to Powell, except the guy that it's going to is a really cool guy and loves to party with tons of people on his "Boats" and thats exacty what he bought it for. "Showing it off."
It was also some pretty good Public Relations for Magic.
Plus I had a pretty good Ride on it. Although we only went 87 MPH. Dusty

Awesome! I am glad to know someone buying a boat like that is into lots of people partying on it! That is what it is for. I agree that is great pr for Magic. The only negative I can say about the boat is their choice of wood for down below. Sorry guys but red oak is so far out of style it isn't even funny. Maple or cherry would be ok and would definatly work. In that boat however I would have chosen something exotic. Sexy wood for a sexy boat!

That boat is freaking huge, out of scale. I pulled up behind it and couldn't believe my eyes. He didn't get any hassle about being in the Channel? No boats over 38 allowed? AWSOME.
