Havasu this weekend (6/8 - 6/9)

Looks like Waterndog and I will be meeting up at Park Moabi on the California/Arizona border where I-40 goes through on Saturday. This is about 45 minutes out of Havasu by land, but only 9 miles by water from the sandbar.

I plan to do the sandbar from there Saturday and Sunday, but I'll be staying in Havasu Saturday night (Gotta visit Kokomo's you know!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif.

Anyway, who else is going? LM1?

is the best western in Moabi, or havasu? That's quite a drive day if you've got to go back to Moabi to drive into havasu isn't it?

I think we're in for this, if we can get one more person to go. I need someone to either back the boat on the trailer or put the trailer in the water so I'm working on that.

First off, it's about 1hr 45mins or so to Moabi. It's ~45mins farther to Havasu. If we stop in Moabi, run all day, then put it back on the trailer and go to Havasu, you've lost nothing...just interrupted the driving until later in the afternoon.

Sunday morning we'll drive back up to Moabi, which is again on the way home...saving 45 mins or so of driving Sunday night.

The Best Western is in Havasu.

I've got a friend pulling my boat down. He could back me in, go park, then do the same for you. Lemme know.

The scenery at the sand bars is getting better and better as the temps warm up! Great scenery. I'll see you guys at Moabi on Friday or the sandbar on Saturday.

what a great trip. We were just too worn out to drive home so we ended up staying at the Island Inn. The girls couldn't hang for a second day on the lake though (which just about killed me being right in Havasu and all) so we came home this morning.

Great to meet you Mike (Waterndog) and Dusty (Fireman with the harem http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ) and hang out with you STV Keith. We all had a blast!!! I really like the boat ride from Moabi to the sand bar and then on to Havasu, what a great trip!

I am in V-town starting thursday. My parent are camping in between Echo and Overton (35' Motorhome with 2 AC units, SWEET). But, you all are going to Powell.

Turned out to be an awsome weekend I could have done without the wind though. It was nice meeting stv Keith, LM1 & Ms.LM1, its just to bad it wasn't until everyone was pulling there boats out http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif ,but at least we got to meet and put a face to the names. Did hook up with Runnin A Fever, which by the way I did see you guys down at the sandbar later but by the time I found a spot, anchored down & walk over you guys were gone. So I bet that house is sweet inside, Ya wish we could have stayed later on sunday but I was real worried about setting in traffic with that construction on the 40, we left by 8am. sure wish I could have went for a ride and hung out a little more.
