First off, Mead was AWESOME today. Almost no wind until later in the day (3: 00pm+) and it was just about glass before that.

About the boat - I've got some tuning to do. The analog EFI brainbox on my motor is setup to run at sea level with about 50-70 degree weather (that's where it came from). It's sooooo rich, it won't turn past 6100. It should turn 7300-7500 with this prop. Best it could muster today was 88mph at 6100.

This thing is a riot. I knew I had had fun in my dads' STV's before, but ownership has its own rewards. Can't wait to spend some time on the lake with you guys soon.

BTW, I'm thinking of putting in at Willow Beach tomorrow morning and running down to Katherine's Landing (thanks D2 for the insight). Anyone up for a cruise?

D2, thanks for the tip on Willow Beach. Â*We put in there today and ran up to the dam, then ran down to Cottonwood Cove. Â*Good ride, except it got a little bumpy just before CC. Â*We sat for about 45 mins and had a drink (Gatorade thanks! ) and the ride back was much better.

With a little tuning on the EFI, we saw 7100 today at 92.0 according to the GPS. Â*That's about the limit of my current driving level...it was still pulling. Most definitely!! Â*That is the whole reason I bought the boat. And Barney already did superdave's Schiada and I hear that looks real sharp. Â*Probably do it over winter: new gel, interior, stereo, and redo the trailer.
