We were cruzing through town when we spotted B-Rad502's rig. We eventually met up with him and followed him out to CottonWoood Marina. Launched around 11 or so, went through some 1 foot chop to head up stream but it was a cool run. Having such a great time we stopped at Willow Beach? where Brad and his crew grabbed some snacks. We continued upstream to the base of the Hoover Dam. If you have not done this its a killer run. Shot a bunch a pics and headed back. This is where the fun starts.... We were running full speed back until we hit the larger bodies of water. Can you say 5-6 foot swells. I got 4 or 5 swells 2 foot over my bow when my timing was off. Needless to say I adjusted quickly. Having SO much fun with that and the stories we will tell tirelessly forever, we headed home this morning when we saw the forecast. I can't bring my family out in those conditions. If it were just me and the guys, its no biggie. I know I probably missed a great gathering but my appologies I could not make it. I hope everyone had a blast and it was great meeting Brad and the crew. Hope we can meet up another time. Jeff

We all missed you out there. It was a great time and suprisingly the weather held off for most of the day but we all heard about your "fun" ride back to the marina so I don't blame you for not wanting to come out again. I have been there and it was NOT fun.
Hope to see you sometime soon.

Jeff, I don't what your schedule is like during the week, but my girl, her friends, and I are heading to Needles on Thursday to cruise around the river and probably check out the Channel if you're gonna be around. The river never gets rough!!! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Is Needles where we went North from 40 at? Is there shallow water there? I get a tad nervous when I can see the bottom....

NB - Man you don't get out of Havasu much do you? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif Yes, that was Needles. You are good all the way up to Needles on the river. There is nothing shallow until you get past Needles on the river.

Actually it was at Cottonwood!! 5-6 footers just outside the marina and some spots just as big in the smaller basin just North. It was NASTY!! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

NB, the only spot you have to watch is where the river dumps into Havasu. There's some shallow spots right in the middle. Stay to either side and you should be fine with where the water level is right now! Have fun! We're going up there the following week in Donnie's Daytona http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

OK, settle down there Brad http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Â*While no one can argue the money you spent was well spent, if I recall you wanted to spend the money originally on a freakin' lift kit for the truck. I'm glad to see you came to your senses and went with the right thing Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

No, the lift kit was just another expenditure that we were looking at around the same time. The "job" was going to happen no matter what, just ask Ange! The lift kit for the Tahoe has been put on hold to do all the landscaping in the backyard, you know, that responsible homeowner thing you talked about! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
