Dad and I will likely take the new toy down to Havasu to "experience" it Saturday. Will anyone else be down there so we can hook up?

I'm going to take it easy until I get used to it. It arrives tomorrow (Wednesday). With my prop, I expect in the low 100's as it sits. With some tweaking (cc heads, LW flywheel, SVS system, etc) it should easily got 1-teens.
I've got no idea where/how to get to anything in Havasu. I've been through town one time, and saw the London Bridge/Kokomos. If I drive down Saturday, what's my best bet on where to put in? Send me a PM with your phone number so we can hook up.

It all depends on where you want to launch and if you want to pay to launch. Lake Havasu Marina is on the island, go over the bridge to get the there, and it is $10 to launch on the weekends.
Site 6 is also on the island, continue past the Marina and you will find it. Site 6 is free to launch.
Windsor Beach is off of London Brdige Road and I believe you have to pay to launch there as well.
My own personal opinion is to use the Marina. To me it is the best launch in town. Windsor may have more lanes though. Also, the $10 might be kind of steep, but when you own a boat, as we all do, an additional $10 per day should not be a problem.

I don't like the site 6 launch, it gets soaked late in the day and it's a bit steeper and more narrow. It's fine if you're boat is light, but if it's a bit heavier and you don't have 4*4 you'll slip possibly getting out - like I did.
The Havasu Marina is the best place for the 10$. If you're going to launch 3 days pay the 25$ for the 3 day pass.

We're going to shoot to be in the water around 10am on Saturday. I'll use the Marina...sounds like the right thing to do.
Anyone else going to be out?
Keith,
Go to LH marina on the island. If you need any help call me at 714 767-0600. You have to make a little jaunt off the main road to go over the island. If you havent ever been there before it may take you a couple of times.
have fun,

Good point Thor.
Keith, when you see the bridge coming up, turn left at the light right before it, then turn right and another right at the Chevron to get over to the Island.
Keith,
Cruise up river to the sandbar to check that out while you are in havasu.
Here is a pic

I doubt it. I've seen that pic numerous times. However, it is a very good representation of the number of boats at the Sandbar.

I'll be there friday around noon. The Fireman's regatta is Sat and Sun. Probably be at the sand bar Friday and the channel friday evening. The poker run is Sat. My buddy won it last year. Tons of eye candy coming this weekend too.
